Licensed Real Estate Salesperson
I grew up in Dayton, Ohio, but spent 3 years living, working, and studying in Bangkok, Thailand. It was always my plan to live in a large city. A year ago, my network pulled me to New York City. I have professional experience in client relations and business development for various industries from advertising to finance, and have academically completed research related to a B.S. in biology and an M.B.A. I’ve been an ongoing volunteer in my community via environmental and cultural nonprofit programs helping monitor water pollution near sites experiencing acid mine drainage and tutoring high school kids from areas of low socioeconomic income.
Initially when I moved to New York, I was faced with the dilemma of not having the proper resources or knowledge to find my best-fit apartment. I moved into a living situation above market price with four roommates in an unfamiliar area. Knowing that I was most likely missing out on a lot of options, I decided to take the initiative and educate myself. I earned my Real Estate Salesperson License to equip myself with the resources and knowledge needed to understand the market.
Since becoming a real estate professional I have mostly helped young adults who are looking for their first apartment in the city, or friends looking for a shorter commute. I also helped sell my parents house in Ohio after a few years on an underperforming market. Understanding the sentiment involved in selling a house, I was able to help them establish financial comparison to the surrounding market, and focus advertisements at the true objective value of the house while highlighting the positive factors of the property.
It is easy for buyers, sellers, and renters to be misguided without the proper knowledge of legality or market fluctuations. I am passionate about giving clients various options, and providing them with an opportunity to explore the market properly without settling for less. My strength lies in an ability to give clients choices within their financial budget and keep them informed about the surrounding areas.
