I can’t recommend Russell enough and will refer anyone I know looking for an apartment to him! As someone moving to NYC from out of state, I was overwhelmed by the apartment search, and Russell made the entire process feel so much more manageable from beginning to end.
The value of working with him went way beyond the actual apartment tours. From the start, he invested a ton of time in understanding what I was looking for. We had an hour-long call before touring, and he made sure I understood the process, had all of my documents ready, and had a plan going into the search. We stayed in constant communication throughout, and I always felt like I was prepared for whatever came next.
We saw over 20 apartments in one day and somehow Russell managed to make what could have been an exhausting and daunting experience feel genuinely enjoyable. He was great company and my favorite part of the day was enjoying a slice of pizza together for lunch! He had thoughtful insights, kept everything organized, and took a huge amount of the cognitive load off of me. He was empathetic and encouraging through the emotional highs and lows, understanding this was a huge decision.
He knew how to navigate the application process, communicated directly with the leasing agent, and was quick to advocate for me. When I told him the apartment we had seen was my number one choice, he immediately reached out to the leasing agent to let them know and helped keep the process moving. And I ended up signing the lease with a 1.5 month concession!
More than anything, I felt like I could trust Russell. I could tell that he genuinely cared about finding the right home for me, rather than just trying to close a deal. He followed up constantly, asked thoughtful questions, and was always happy to jump on a call. I never felt like I was bothering him or that I had to figure something out on my own.
And even after the lease was signed, he''s still been in touch, sent me a list of things to keep in mind for my move-in walkthrough, and told me that just because the transaction is over doesn’t mean I can’t reach out if I ever have questions.
